10 Free Photography Resources

Being stuck at home for weeks (months?) on end probably wasn’t in your plans earlier this year, but now that we all have a little bit of unexpected free time we may as well use it to our advantage! Below are a handful of free resources that we’ve found, that we think may be worth your time to read, watch, and explore.

Creative Live - On Air Photography Classes

Creative Live offers free on-air (live) photography classes that cover a wide range of topics. Some of their recent and upcoming classes include: Mobile Photography, Music Photography, Food Photography, Setting Up a Home Studio, and using Final Cut Pro. And for those of us that could use it, they also opened up their Health & Wellness classes for free as well. Click here to start watching!

Caroline Tran - Building a Memorable Brand

Caroline Tran is a Los Angeles-based photographer and photography educator that provides a variety of classes, guides, tools, etc. through her website. Earlier this year, at WPPI 2020, she was invited by Rangefinder to be a speaker at their Rise and Shine Summit, where she spoke about finding her brand identity and building a profitable photography business in a saturated photography market. Katelyn James is an enthusiastic wedding photographer and educator who regularly creates and shares educational videos on her YouTube channel. Sandra Coan - Natural Looking Light with Strobes & Flashes

Sandra Coan is a highly respected photography educator that has been spotlighted and featured by a wide range of groups and organizations, including Rangefinder, Click Magazine, The Knot, Seattle Bride, Belle Lumiere, etc. One area in particular that she excels at is teaching photographers how to use strobes and flashes to create natural-looking light. Skott Chandler - The Essential Guide to Lightroom
