When we first sat down to share this update, we were excited to get this news out to our photographers who cover school portraits and team photos, as much of the world will be returning to those rhythms in the coming months.

However, the more we thought about it, the more excited we got for ALL of our photographers—those of us who cover weddings, events, families, head shots, and beyond have plenty of space to benefit from this update as well!

Instaproofs has a tradition of continually expanding the amount of control that our photographers have over their storefronts and their businesses.

Building upon that tradition, we’re excited to announce an update with our Single Image Package!

First, to make sure we’re all on the same page, here are a few terminology reminders:

Print Size: a single print of a single image on a specific paper size.

Single Image Product: a purchase option that is more complex than just a regular print size, however, it is still associated with just a single image and you receive a single product with your purchase. For example, a Canvas Wrap, Metal Print, Coffee Mug, Single Image Download, etc., are all examples of possible Single Image Products.

Single Image Package: a package containing multiple prints for a single image. So, for example, a set of 200 5x7 prints of a single image may be included in an engagement package. Or, a school photos package might include one 8x10, two 5x7s, and a set of wallet-size prints, all of a single image.

(we have many more product types, but these are the definitions needed for the following update)

Without further ado, here’s the news:

Single Image Packages have been updated to allow Print Sizes AND Single Image Products to be included within them.

This update gives photographers significantly more flexibility in their package and product creations.

Want some help brainstorming how you can use this option to your advantage? Here are a few ideas we drummed up:

Sharing is Caring Package: A large Canvas Wrap for your home, and several 5x7 prints for the parents and grandparents.

Large Print + Digital Copy: Purchase a 16x20 or larger and automatically receive the digital copy for free.

Work + Home Package: A 24x30 Solid Oak framed print for your home, plus a couple of smaller prints in basic frames for your work desks.

Enhanced Sports Package: One 8x10 print, two 5x7s, a set of wallet-sized prints, a coffee mug, and a medium-resolution digital copy to share on social media

Any combination of single-image options can now be combined and sold as package deals, which can provide more revenue for you, and more value for your clients.

Ready for the quick how-to? You’ll have this up and running in no time.

Sign into your Instaproofs account
Click on the “SELLING” tab, then “Purchase Options”
To create your Single-image Package, click on “Create New Purchase Option,” then “Single-image Products and Packages.”
In the first drop-down menu, select “Single-image Package.”
Name your package, fill in the details, and select the Print Sizes and Single Image Products you want to include in your Single Image Package. Save!
On the left side of the page, click on “SELLING,” then “Prices, Shipping, Tax,” then “Pricing Sheets.”
Find the Single Image Package you just created (it will be in the Price List you selected, find that and then click the little gear icon and select “Edit Pricing”), and fill in the price. Save!

Repeat this process for all Single Image Packages you would like to offer.

Don’t forget to tell your clients about any new packages you create! Past clients may be incentivized to revisit a past gallery if a new product or package is available.
