Mini Sessions: With Booking Services, They Are Simple, Streamlined, and Extremely Profitable

Book out your mini sessions without maxing out your brain.

Booking Services is unique to Instaproofs, and it is the ultimate tool to help you create max value from your mini sessions. Keep reading as we walk you through the process of setting up your Mini Sessions with Booking Services, and then we’ll dive in deeper with some simple ideas to create MAX VALUE.

SET UP YOUR MINI SESSIONS WITH BOOKING SERVICES

Conduct two basic processes, and you’ll be ready to fill your schedule.

  1. Create a Session Type

    • From your dashboard, select Booking, then Session Types. Select Create a New Session Type.

    • As you customize your Session Type, be sure to set the Classification as Multi from the dropdown menu. This will allow you to create many session spots with pre-determined time slots.

    • Name your Session Type, create a description and price, select a sample photo (this really helps folks feel confident to book!), describe different packages you may offer, attach a contract and/or questionnaires, enable tipping, and more! Hint: You can also select how long of a break you’d like between sessions.

    • When you’re done, be sure to hit Save.

    Good news: you can re-use the session type again and again, so once you have this process done, you can use the Session Type to offer more mini sessions at a later date!

  2. Create a Session

    • From your dashboard, select Booking, then Booking Sessions. Select Schedule New Session.

    • Name your session, and set the Classification as Multi from the dropdown menu.

    • Select your Session Type (that’s what you just created via the directions above), and when Additional Settings appear, select your date, start time, and how many session spots you’d like to include. Hint: if you’d like a longer-than-scheduled break, like for lunch, you can simply schedule the first half of your sessions, save, and select the “Add Additional Spots" button within the session details to add the spots for after lunch (or for a different day, etc.).

    • When you’re done, be sure to hit Save.

You’ve done it! Send your booking page out to your email list, put it on social media, and even text it directly to past or potential clients. Booking Services will automatically collect payment as well as any contracts/questionarires you’ve selected.

  • Scheduling

    1. Use Instaproofs’ Bulk Email tool to excite everyone in your database with the details of your mini sessions. They have a need you can meet, and a short, simple email can help them understand that.

    2. Follow up with individualized texts or emails, and, if possible, include a photo from their last session to pull on their heartstrings. Include the link to book!

    3. Take out the guesswork and keep your available sessions up-to-date. This is automatic with Instaproofs’ Booking Services—booked dates are automatically updated on your Booking Page, so your clients understand clearly which sessions are still available.

  • Have a plan

    1. Make the most of your time by having a plan of what to shoot. For example, plan a to take a photo of the whole family, each individual child, siblings together, and then parents together. Having an idea of poses ahead of time can save time, too.

    2. Bring a watch, set a timer, or bring an assistant to help you stay on time.

  • Selling

    1. Use Instaproofs’ automated marketing email tools! Set up a sale, send email reminders (here are some templates), issue coupon codes—the sky is the limit.

    2. One of our photographers helps her clients in a creative way: a couple days after delivering the gallery, they send a follow-up email with ideas of what to order, images of framed prints, etc. Your clients may appreciate that help, too!

    3. One of our favs—the Abandoned Cart tool. Remind folks of what’s waiting in their carts with a custom link.
