New Feature Roundup - May 2024

Here are SOME OF our Latest new features

We are continuously improving our services based on your feedback! Some new features you've requested are now available, while others, though subtle, were designed to enhance your experience and deliver more to you and your clients. This blog post highlights some of the new features we've introduced in 2024.

1. Improved Image Processing Speeds — This is one of those “you may not see it, but you’ll definitely notice it” features! Once a new set of images has been uploaded to our website, those images are now processing at 5-10x the speed they previously were. For example, a set of images that previously took 20 minutes to process will now only take 2-4 minutes instead!

2. Save Time with New Questionnaire Templates — Have you ever wanted to use our questionnaires to collect valuable session information, but weren’t exactly sure where to start or, perhaps, even what to ask? With our new questionnaire templates, we've made it simple!

Several types of templates are available, including templates for family sessions, pet sessions, engagement sessions, and more! Once you’ve selected a template, you can then modify, delete, and/or add to that template to tailor it to your needs. If you prefer to create your questionnaires from scratch— don’t worry! You also still have the option to create your own. Check out the new questionnaire templates here.

3. Prevent Discount Stacking — You can now disable specific coupon codes while your sales are running! Why would you use this new feature? Let’s say you’ve offered a client a personal 20% coupon code, but you are also planning on running a holiday promotion that offers everyone 25% off everything on your website.

Before enabling this new option, your client could combine their coupon code with the holiday promotion for a combined 45% off their purchase. If you want to prevent this scenario, now you can! Simply select the “Prevent Discount Stacking” option when creating the coupon code.

Tip: If you disable a code during a sale, that coupon code will still work before and after the duration of the sale.

4. Explore the Overhauled Visitor Stats Page — Have you seen the new Visitor Stats page? Not only is the new version more visually appealing and user-friendly, it also offers more valuable information for you and your business.

Explore new details related to hidden images, favorite images, and client orders. You can also click on each “stat box,” which will reveal additional details including: which photos were downloaded, the number of people who have favorited a particular image, and more!

To access this page, click “Visitors” for a specific gallery and then select “View Visitor Stats.”

What else would you like to see on this page? We’ve love to hear your thoughts!

5. Save Money With the New “Pick up at the Lab” Option — Ok, so this may not necessarily count as new site “functionality,” but we’re still excited to share it with all of you! Four of our lab partners have agreed to offer a “Pick up at the Lab” shipping option for fulfillment orders. This has the potential to save photographers local to these labs a significant amount of money on each of their fulfillment orders (up to $20+ per order)! This option is currently available through the following labs:

6. Take Advantage of Added Image Protection — If your business requires extreme watermark coverage, you can now add a “full-coverage” watermark to your images to prevent screen grabs and screenshots. Find this feature in your photo preferences.

7. An Improved Gallery Search for Your Clients — In addition to allowing your clients to search for galleries based solely on gallery titles and locations, the gallery search functionality has been updated to also search for keywords attached to the images within the galleries.

8. Send Purchased Gift Certificates to Any Email Address — When your clients purchase a gift certificate, they can now send that certificate to any email address of their choosing. This functionality allows them to more easily send gift certificates to their family and friends. If you aren’t already, consider promoting gift certificates during the holiday season!

9. Automate Tasks with Zapier — Have you connected your Instaproofs Account to Zapier? Zapier is a web automation wizard that allows you to link apps and services to automate tasks seamlessly. These task automations are called “Zaps” and you can think of Zaps as personal assistants that take care of the boring stuff for you.

Most recently, Zapier integration has been added for orders received, inquiries received, and newly collected email addresses!

10. Collect Session Information on Your Own Schedule — You’ve already learned about our new questionnaire templates, but we’re also happy to announce that you can now schedule your questionnaires to go out at any time of your choosing! If you’d rather not bog your clients down with questions during the booking process, you can now schedule your questionnaires to auto-send anywhere from immediately after booking, to 30 days before their scheduled session date.

11. Enjoy Even More Marketing Automations — Multiple new “triggers” have been added to the marketing automation functionality. You can now set up marketing messages to automatically deploy “after an order is placed” and “after each visitor’s 1st order.”

12. Quickly Duplicate Session Types & Questionnaires — Get more use out of your session types and questionnaires by duplicating them with one, easy click. If you have similar yet slightly different session types and/or questionnaires, this feature will save you a lot of time and work! Duplicate what you’ve already created and then tweak them as needed.

We’ll be back next month with another roundup of new features and site upgrades!
